This week is Read Across America Week! We will celebrate with some fun spirit days starting tomorrow!

We’re in the Top 5! Clemente Parents—you are amazing! Thanks to your participation during conferences, we had 50 parents complete the school climate survey—landing us in the Top 5 for participation across the entire district! But we aren't done yet! If you haven't had a chance to complete the survey yet, there is still time to help us climb to the top spot! Make sure to complete the survey for each of your children. *Why do it?* It takes 10 minutes and your feedback helps us improve our school and better serve our students. *Where?* Look for an email from "Survey Administrator" for the links. If you did not receive the email, use this link: bit.ly/NHPS2026 *Goal:* Let’s show the district that Clemente parents are the most engaged in the city! Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping us lead by example.

The 2026 New Haven Public Schools School Climate Survey opens February 2-27. You will receive a link to the survey at your email address and/or phone number. We strongly encourage you to fill out the survey and share honestly what’s going well and what could be better about your student’s experience at school. All responses are anonymous. The survey will take 10-15 minutes. You can complete the survey on your phone or a computer. You can pause at any time and return to it on any device. Students will have time at school to take the survey. Parents, if you need help completing the survey, contact the school office. In the event, you DO NOT want your child to participate, please contact their school’s front office for the opt out form. The Climate Survey will ask questions about the learning environment, belonging and community, staff-student relationships, bullying and safety, and discipline.

This is an important message from the New Haven Public Schools. Tomorrow, Tuesday, all schools will open with a two-hour delay. There will be no before-school programs. For further information, please visit our web site: nhps.net.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

I hope this winter break has provided your family with time to rest, celebrate, and create wonderful memories together.

As we prepare to turn the page to 2026, we are filled with excitement for the second half of our school year.
We have missed our students, and we are ready to hit the ground running! We look forward to welcoming each and every one of our students back to school on Monday, January 5.

To start the year strong, we have set a big goal: 100% attendance on our first day back. Every day of learning counts, and the "fresh start" of a new year is the perfect time to build great habits. When our students are here, our School is complete, and the learning environment is at its best.

Can we count you in for 100% attendance on Monday, January 5th?

Let’s start the new year with a ROAR! We can’t wait to see those smiling faces at drop-off and at the Bus Platform on January 5th.

Hello Families! We are planning a "Sweet & Salty Sale" fundraiser on Report Card Conference Night. Bring a couple dollars and buy a treat for yourself, your student, or maybe even a teacher! We hope to see you on Wednesday, November 19 from 1-3 PM or 5-7PM.
